Patina Bronze numbers and letters are water-jet cut from flat sheets of bronze alloy NAVY G 88-8-0-4 (noninal: Cu 88 Sn 8 Zn 4) in the various thicknesses mentioned in the table above. The returns are bead-blasted.
These pieces are force-aged by chemicals and heat to produce 2 different shades - Traditional Verde, and Turquoise Verde. As in nature, the pattern of the patina will vary unpredictably from one cut item to another.
For the final step, the finish is completed with a light protective clear coat.
REMINDER: Our patina samples serve as general targets for hues and patterns. These hues and patterns can vary significantly. Do not assume that the images on this page will be exactly reproduced in your ordered items. Each house number will be one-of-a-kind in appearance.
Note: In some moist environments these patina pieces have a tendency to "bleed" color on their mounting surface if mounted directly against the wall. We always suggest that the pieces be mounted with stand-off spacers to float the patina pieces off the mounting surface. We provide these spacers free of charge.
ALSO: Tap the following link comparing the images on this page with those of Cast Patina Bronze. Cut Patina Bronze provides much more subtle coloring than Cast Patina Bronze.
Note: Patina Bronze is grouped with Polished Bronze in the same price category.
